# Gasless Withdrawals

You don't need to hold a chain's native gas token to use Lacuna. Withdrawals and transfers can be broadcast for you by a [relayer](/how-lacuna-works/relayer-network.md), with the fee paid from your shielded balance.

## Why This Matters

* No need to pre-fund a public address with gas just to move private funds.
* No public, funded address that could be linked back to you.
* A smoother first-time experience — shield, then transact, with nothing else to set up.
